ReLOVEution is the Movement is URIP's annual conference on the politics of love in racial justice movements. Starting in 2013, URIP decided that there needed to be a space to collectively explore the complex, multifaceted ways we love ourselves and each other in organizing and movement work. The ReLOVEution Conference is comprised of two parts: the Politics of Love Community Dialogue and an Open Mic. The main event, the Politics of Love Community Dialogue is a facilitated interactive and honest conversation on a chosen theme around love and justice. The Open Mic is a more intimate evening of song, spoken word, art and reflection on the Community Dialogue and our personal experiences navigating love in our activism and organizing worlds.
